1~ When to do a Maternity Photoshoot with Flowers?
The first thing you need to consider when you’re planning your Maternity Photoshoot, is when you’re going to do it!
The best time to take maternity photos during your pregnancy is between 26 to 34 weeks. However, this time frame is specific to you!
If you’re showing early, you might want to schedule your photoshoot closer to the 26 mark. If you’re not really showing, you might want to wait until your belly has gotten the chance to become more pronounced.
But don’t wait too long! You don’t want baby to come before you get the chance to do your pictures.
2~ Where to find a Location for your Maternity Photoshoot with Flowers
Now for the flowers. Here is Southern California, we have flowers blooming pretty much year round. I wrote a guide to the best Flower Locations near Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
For natural blooms, consider a botanical garden where they usually have something beautiful blooming year round.
If you’re fortunate enough to be 24-36 weeks pregnant in the months of March, April, and May, you should consider finding a wildflower location and taking advantage of nature’s gift!
Can’t find any live blooms near you? No problem! You can always hire a florist to create a stunning bouquet or floral arrangement for your photoshoot!
3~ What to wear for your Maternity Photoshoot with Flowers
There are many gown rental companies who cater specifically to Maternity Clients. Or, you can purchase your own dress from many retailers online or in store.
