First thing I want to mention is that I am not a shoot and burn photographer.

I don’t enjoy taking your money, expecting you to show up to the session without any guidance, and then stick you with an overwhelming amount of digital images that will just sit on your hard drive, forgotten. If that’s the kind of photographer you’re looking for then I’m not the one for you.

  1. INQUIRE AND BOOK

    After you submit your inquiry form, I will check my availability and reach out with my convenient Pricing and Booking Portal! You are able to select my services, view your invoice, sign the contract, and pay the retainer all in one go! That way we don’t have to do a bunch of back and forth emailing. After that, we’re booked!

  2. STYLING & PLANNING CALL

    Part of my services as your photographer is doing a planning call with you! Before our call, I will send over a style and design questionnaire for you to fill out. During our call we will discuss wardrobe and design options.

    I love pre-planning what you envision on doing with your images after the session, that way, during our session, I can plan the perfect shots that will fill your home.

  3. SESSION DAY

    We will absolutely take the standard “everyone smile and look at the camera” shots, but my main priority is placing you and your loved ones in beautiful lighting and capturing your connections through playful prompts.

  4. GALLERY REVEAL & DESIGN APPOINTMENT

    After I’m done putting the finishing touches on your gallery, we will schedule a gallery reveal and design appointment! During our call, we will go over your images and decide how you’d like to further enjoy them. I sell custom, handmade albums and wall art to suite your style. And don’t worry, I will do all the hard work for you! All you have to do is sit back and look forward to enjoying and passing down your images for generations to come.

  5. DISPLAY YOUR MEMORIES

    Once you have received your tangible products, it’s time to display them in your home to show the memories of your beautiful family for years to come!

If there’s one thing I can impress upon my current or future clients, it’s the importance of printing your images!

Digital is not forever, despite our best efforts.

I have almost no images from my teenage years because they were all digital. And guess what? They’re all stuck on my old Myspace account I can no longer access!

Years of pictures are completely gone and the only ones I have, are the physical images we printed from disposable film cameras.

Here at Megan W Photography, I offer full service, done for you printing. That way you won’t have to worry about going out and handling the designing and printing on your own.

You’ll receive high-quality, handmade, heirloom print products that won’t fall apart in a few years.

My heart behind every maternity session is simple: I want you to feel radiant, celebrated, and at ease. I want the entire process, from planning to printing, to feel effortless.

Every maternity session includes a fully customized experience, from wardrobe planning and styling guidance to location recommendations that capture Malibu’s most breathtaking light. During your session, we’ll take breathtaking portraits in Malibu’s most stunning locations, allowing time for multiple outfit changes and a beautiful mix of poses and candid moments.

Within just a couple of weeks of your session, you'll receive an email from me with a link to a slideshow that includes all of your fully-edited images. Once you've had a chance to see them and marvel for a bit, you'll let me know which collection you want to purchase. After that, you'll have a full month to select the specific digital files and print items you want to use to fill that collection...zero pressure!

I photograph maternity sessions throughout Malibu and all over California, and most sessions book 3–4 months in advance.
